The Awards Committee is responsible for reviewing yearly award recommendations for recipients of REALTOR of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, Honorary Life Member, Pride In Profession, Rising Star/Rookie of the Year and any other awards as may be determined by committee and approved by the Board of Directors or directive by the Board of Directors. Committee works with staff to provide forms to membership for nominations, and recipients are determined based on criteria provided by candidates, brokers or others from forms.
The Business Partner Committee is made up exclusively of our Business Partners and focuses on enhancing partnership opportunities. The committee meets to discuss upcoming events, available sponsorships, and ways to maximize the benefits included in the Strategic Business Partner Packages.
The Commercial Committee focuses on supporting and promoting the commercial real estate sector within our membership. The committee discusses market trends, upcoming educational opportunities, and ways to enhance awareness and engagement in the commercial real estate community.
The Global Committee promotes awareness and education around international real estate opportunities and practices. The committee works to connect members with global markets, share resources, and support culturally competent business practices within the real estate industry.
The Government Affairs Committee monitors and advocates on topics that impact the real estate industry, with a focus on the communities of New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, and Oak Hill. The committee works to keep members informed, engaged, and involved in local government matters that affect property rights and the business of real estate.
The MLS (Multiple Listing Service) Committee oversees the rules, policies, and functionality of the MLS to ensure it remains an effective and reliable tool for members. The committee reviews suggested changes, addresses member concerns, and works to maintain accuracy, compliance, and innovation within the system.
The Scholarship & Outreach Committee is dedicated to supporting local students through scholarship opportunities and fostering community connections. The committee reviews applications, selects recipients, and explores outreach efforts that strengthen the Board’s presence and positive impact within the community.
The Social Committee coordinates and organizes programs for the quarterly luncheons such as locations, dates, times, menus, attendees and considers vital information and primary needs of the membership in selecting subjects to be discussed. Also arranges the Holiday Party for the NSBBOR and any other special functions put on by the committee as approved by the Board of Directors.
The Special Events Committee is responsible for planning and executing unique events throughout the year that enhance member engagement and promote the mission of the Board. This includes the coordination of the annual Golf Tournament, as well as other themed gatherings. The committee works to create meaningful and memorable experiences that reflect the spirit and professionalism of the NSBBOR®.
The Young Professionals Network (YPN) is a member-driven organization that empowers young real estate professionals to excel in their careers through leadership community outreach, networking, professional development and advocacy. The Young Professionals Network is the foundation for the future of the real estate profession. Each year, YPN members set new standards for the maintenance, strengthening and growth of the REALTOR® brand. Through our influence as successful young professionals we will:
- Cultivate future leaders of our Local, State and National REALTOR® associations and within our community.
- Provide forward-thinking and networking based educational opportunities.
- Work in collaboration with other REALTOR® & Community Professional networks.
- Generate unparalleled networking opportunities amongst peers and real estate industry leaders.

The Finance & Budget Committee is responsible for reviewing the financial health of the organization and developing the annual budget. The committee ensures fiscal responsibility, monitors financial performance, and provides guidance on financial policies to support the long-term sustainability of the Board.
The Grievance Committee is responsible for reviewing ethics complaints and arbitration requests submitted to the Board. The committee determines whether a complaint warrants a formal hearing and ensures that all matters are handled in accordance with the professional standards and procedures established by the National Association of Realtors®.
The Professional Development Committee focuses on creating and promoting educational programs, workshops, and training opportunities that enhance the skills and knowledge of members. The committee supports continuous learning to help members stay current with industry trends and advance their careers.
The Professional Standards Committee upholds the ethical conduct and professional integrity of members by overseeing the enforcement of the Code of Ethics. The committee reviews complaints, facilitates hearings, and ensures adherence to established standards to maintain trust and accountability within the real estate community.
